At Arthur T. Talmadge School we believe that all students can learn to their greatest potential and that everyone will reach proficiency. Encouragement, rigorous expectations, creative and motivating standards based data driven lessons are necessary in order for students to reach their maximum potential. We provide a caring learning environment where staff and students strive to take responsibility for their learning.

Our school wide focus is to ensure that all students show measurable growth in their ability to communicate clearly. They will form well developed thoughts (orally and in written form) using pertinent details and strong word choices in all content areas at grade level and beyond. This will be achieved through the implementation of best teaching practices as measured by formative and summative assessments. In 2012, Talmadge students at all grade levels continued to demonstrate high academic achievement on the Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System. The students, staff, administration and parents at Talmadge work towards maintaining our school's exceptional reputation of academic success.
